Born and raised in Point Pleasant, NJ, Mel Evans was first introduced to improv at the age of 14 in a summer theater program. During her time at The College of New Jersey, she performed with Mixed Signals and spent one year as their director. She also performed devised theatre and improvised children's shows around the Garden State. Upon moving to Chicago in 2005, Mel completed the iO training center and Second City program.
Mel's favorite movie is "It's a Wonderful Life," which she knows practically by heart, although her George Bailey impression is weak.
