Don't Copy That Floppy (04/21/2007)
released: Apr 21, 2007
description: Bill Jacobson sits at his desk as the office mail cart goes by, dropping in a package to be delivered to his boss, Derek Hexley. The package contains a floppy disk which informs Mr. Hexley that Bill has quit. Mr. Hexley berates Bill until Bill finally walks out. He is chased through the parking lot by Ann, who finagles an invitation for drinks with him.
After several exciting and romantic outings, Bill and Ann settle in for an evening at his house. As he prepares dinner, she excuses herself to the bathroom, where she makes a call. Ms. X, cloaked in shadow, asks if Ann has planted the evidence. Ann has, and tries to make a clean getaway, but finds herself charmed by Bill and stays the night.
The next morning though, two officers show up at his door. They search the apartment and find evidence that Bill was sabotaging his company, despite his insistence he was not. The two police officers drag him down to the station – however, the police car hits a small child and drives off the road, rolling several times. Bill takes advantage of the officers' unconsciousness and escapes, running down the street.
In Derek Hexley's office, Ms. X expresses dismay at Bill's escape. Mr. Hexley gives his word that he will make sure Bill is caught.
As he runs down the road, a van rolls up to Bill and the driver encourages him to hop in. Bill does so, and finds himself with Jacob and his sidekick Curly. Jacob explains to him that he is there to help Bill. Jacob informs him of a plot that Apple computers had with Ronald Reagan, Tip O'Neill, and the actor who plays Big Bird to put a computer in every house for malicious purposes. Bill is to be the fall guy in this evil plot. As Jacob explains this, black cars pull up next to the van and attempt to run it off the road. With the help of several gadgets, the van escapes the black cars and drives on towards safety.
Back in Mr. Hexley's office, Ms. X is irate. Mr. Hexley swears he will get Bill this time, and he knows just how to do it: with Ann. Mr. Hexley informs Ann that she will lure Bill to the Hexley mansion, where he will finally be in their clutches. Ann only agrees to do so when her own life is threatened.
In the hideout at South of the Border, Bill receives a note from Ann asking to meet her at "their" food court. Bill goes, despite Jacob's warnings. The meeting is soon revealed to be a trick as Mr. Hexley steps out of the shadows. Jacob then steps out of the shadows with a boomerang gun. Ms. X steps out of the shadows behind him, and is revealed to actually be Nancy Reagan, and Jacob's sister. Before any motivations can be revealed, Jacob fires the boomerang gun, beheading Mr. Hexley, Ms. X., and himself. Ann confesses to Bill that she was forced into helping the bad guys, but would have helped him escape. She further reveals she has a bomb strapped to her. Bill helps her dismantle the weapon, and the two happily continue their relationship where they left off.
