Feel the Burn (08/21/2007)
released: Aug 21, 2007
description: Iron Jack's Gym and Jasmine's Pilates Studio happily co-exist across the street from one another, each appealing to a specific gender with the lines never blurring. The men of Iron Jack's weight sculpt their huge bodies under the supervision of Jackson, son of the original owner. They very masculinely lift and press until one day, Cindy Williamson enters. She demands a membership to the gym, despite the unwritten no-women policy. Jackson has no basis to deny her, and allows her to submit an application. He and the other men then devise a plot: they will make any new applicants lift three hundred pounds before they can become members. Jackson then turns to pictures of his late father for guidance.
Meanwhile, Jasmine of Jasmine's Pilates Studio has noticed that a woman has entered Iron Jack's despite the unspoken agreement between the gyms. Jasmine attempts to sway Cindy to go to the pilates studio instead, but Cindy remains staunch in her desire to build muscle mass over flexibility and tone.
Cindy arrives at Iron Jack's, ready to undergo the feat of strength required for membership. The men are shocked when she successfully accomplishes this task and begrudgingly accept her into the gym. Jasmine and the girls attempt to infiltrate the gym to bring her over to their side, but are quickly discovered. Cindy meets them in the alley, where they appeal to her personally. She confesses that she has turned her back on more feminine forms of exercise since she had a terrible experience with aerobic dance. The girls reiterate their desire for her at their studio, extending an invitation to teach there.
Cindy returns to Iron Jack's with the ammunition of a teaching position at Jasmine's. Although the men find the situation in the gym more pleasant with her around, none of them protest or fight at her ultimatums. Dejected, Cindy leaves Iron Jack's and joins the staff of Jasmine's.
Jackson is despondent about letting Cindy go, but remains firm in his belief that a gym is no place for women. He looks again to the pictures of his father, who instilled this belief in him. However, with the help of a disembodied voice from beyond the grave and the discovery of a newspaper clipping, Jackson finds that his father was only badly wounded by the death of Jackson's mother and actually owes quite a bit of his success to women.
Time passes and Cindy and Jackson run into each other in the juice bar. Their awkward small talk soon turns into mutual admiration of physiques, and the two edge closer and closer to each other. The men of Iron Jack's and the women of Jasmine's Pilates Studio enter separately and are shocked by the sight. The union of Cindy and Jackson, however, inspires them to work together: in this case, in an aerobic dance competition that will award them a million dollars.
Led by the happy couple of Cindy and Jackson, they win the competition, which gives them the money to build a huge gym that welcomes both men and women.
