Notable Quotable
by robSometimes a line from a show is too good to let slip into improv history, never to be heard again. Last night George had one of those lines and I think it needs to be recorded, lest we forget it:
George (stripping while portraying a character that was badly burned in a fire):
I’m just shakin’ what the fire baked.

And, not to be overly academic, but the beauty is not only how hilarious the line and idea is, but it’s also pretty poetic, and I think that’s one of the things that makes it stick.
It’s got a rhythm to it, and the internal rhyme of “shake” and “bake”.
Disgusting, dark, and artful. Next time we have to write a bio, we will include that line. We just shake what the fire baked.
