This was a song that made the MTV daily video top ten for a while when I was 13 or 14, and I remember liking it. Looking at it now -- wow -- they seem pretty lethargic for such a powerful statement of wanting out. <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/FjV8SHjHvHk"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/FjV8SHjHvHk" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object> “I Want Out” by Helloween

I saw them last night at the Metro (a great show), and most of the team wasn't familiar with them, so I wanted to get them some exposure ... My two favorite parts, both crowd bits: - the bow and arrow - the ghost sneaking out before the show ends <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/5VeIL7juFE0"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/5VeIL7juFE0" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object> “Heimdalsgate Like A Promethean Curse” by Of Montreal

It is pretty much as wild as you would expect, and a friend just e-mailed me this homage to the tiny super spy.<br /> <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/eqh5O9LbjhY"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/eqh5O9LbjhY" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object> Weng Weng Rap

George did this great scene several shows back where he was a horrible burn victim wanting to do some sexy dancing, and said he was going to "Shake What the Fire Baked".

That stuck with me enough to write a song — I grabbed his line and made it the chorus, and used some Revolver names in the song, but changed the storyline so that it’s about an early 20th century madhouse that burned down as the inmates danced.

Here’s an mp3:
